Blazers Specialty Foods introduces fourth
generation into business at recent food show.
Participating in the Metropolitan Cooking and
Entertainment Show in
Atlanta, Ga recently, Nate
Tackett traveled with his parents and Grandmother
launching his first appearance with family owned business. Nate
enjoyed the excitement of a chance meeting with one of the show
celebrities.
Paula Deen and sons Jamie and Bobby were
featured guests of the show. Blazers Specialty Foods was one of many
specialty food companies on hand to sample products and introduce
their Blazers Shrimp Dips and Pimento Cheeses to new customers and
markets.
Company roots go back to Blazers Restaurant in Greenwood, SC
owned by Norma and Jimmy Britt. From the restaurant, Blazers
Specialty Foods was formed and bought by Debbie Tackett, the Britt’s
daughter. Over the years, both of Tackett’s children Christopher and
Anna Britt have assisted with growth and development. Christopher is
in charge of product development and Anna Britt and husband Tim
Bentley help with marketing.
Blazers Specialty Foods is currently launching
new packaging with an easier to open container and a bold new label.
The overall design reflects the quality of the products and will
help it stand out in the retail environment. The new label will
incorporate a classic red and black color scheme. The new easier to
open containers are in response to customer’s request.
“I am thrilled with the results and will be
working hard to introduce our new look to our loyal customers. I am
confident that the new design and easy to open containers will
increase customer satisfaction” said Tackett. “The quality of our
dips will not change.”
Plans are underway to expand distribution channels to direct
shipments from website and also new retail outlets. For additional
